Food was so-so. Coming from New York & as an ex-Edmontonian, I am a wee bit spoiled when it comes to dining out at great eateries. The place was way too dark for my preference. I like to see what I am eating. The food was good but I wouldn\'t say spectacular and for what they charged in comparison to taste, I have to give them a 2. Over-rated in my opinion.

Friend Had Gift Certs for this Place an treated 3 of us to Dinner went Feb 13th. The Steak was the best I have ever had, cooked to perfection. All the food was very good including the snack Platter!

I am from out of town and always stay near this restaurant, so I've been a couple times now. Each time is pleasant. We always sit at the bar. The bartender/service is excellent every time. He is always personable, attentive and has excellent opinions and suggestions. I've always been incredibly satisfied with the food and cocktails. Overall a fun a delicious place to go. I always look forward to visiting Chop when I'm in Edmonton.

Ordered a supposedly 12oz Striploin at medium rare. A good steak house will bring a thick cut 12oz striploin but can guarantee you that this was an 8oz, thin and overcooked. Was disappointing.

I was straight up with my waiter at the beginning, I was expecting a lot, I requested that he pair each course I ordered with an appropriate wine, and he did not disappoint me at all.

I started with their Tuna Pillar which was amazing. While a little unbalanced on the plate, the accompanied sauce & wasabi made the appetizer one of the best I have tried - I would have ordered 2-3 of these to go if I had remembered to do so. The wine pairing was dead on.

Second course I had the Beefsteak tomatoe salad which was good, but the win the waiter paired it with, it was phenomenal!

My main course was the ribeye steak and lobster tail. When the waiter was picking up my order, he was disatsfied witht he quality of the tail and sent it back before it ever reaching my table. The replacement was perfect. The steak itself was great, though it was not as ordered, so this too was replaced quickly and without question. The pairing of wine was slightly off, the CS was overpowering the beef, so the waiter replaced it with a shiraz which was perfect.

All in all, this was a meal I will remember for years and I am looking forward to my next trip to Edmonton to try more of these wonderful options on their menu.

This place has the best seafood that I have had since moving to Alberta from Vancouver. I had the Ahi Tuna steak and my wife had the Mahi Mahi and both were mouth watering. The fish was fresh and melted in our mouths. Our waitress was attentive and very nice. I will be back again and again!!

Overall I did not really like this place, and neither did the 3 others with me. The decor wasnt even that great. the food was not horrible, it was average but with prices that made it not worth it. Id rather go to Joeys and be satisfied.Our server was male, and not very nice.
